Η ΦΟΝΙΣΣΑ

Music and songs for the dance-theatre production of “The Murderess” by Echodrama Cultural Group, based on Alexandros Papadiamantis’ novel.

 

The music compositions and the songs combine traditional and contemporary elements. Their source of inspiration is tradition, but they are also enriched with elements of contemporary electronic music.

“The Murderess” premiered in 2001 at Katia Dandoulaki Theatre in Athens, Greece, and toured in many cities and islands of Greece, including Skiathos Island (Papadiamantis’ birthplace). In 2011 (Year of Papadiamantis - 100 years since his death), “The Murderess” toured in 11 cities in Germany (Munich, Frankfurt, Düsseldorf, Dortmund, Bielefeld, Güterslo, Nürnberg, Stuttgard, Manheim, Weinheim, Hannover).

 

During the Germany tour, the music and the songs were performed by:
