Music and songs for the dance-theatre production “Memories of Olympia” by Echodram Cultural Group, inspired by ancient Greek myths and historical facts related to the ancient Olympic Games and to Olympia, the birthplace of the first Olympic Games.

The music combines ancient and contemporary music scales and rhythms in order to show their continuity, using elements of contemporary arrangements with natural and electronic instruments in order to show their timelessness and their universality.

“Memories of Olympia” premiered in 2004 during the Athens Olympic Games at the American Community Schools Arts Center in Halandri, Athens, Greece, followed by a tour in over 15 cultural festivals all over Greece. Because of its educational and cultural character, the performance was presented to over 30 schools at a theatre in Athens.
